Kara has a MA in voice from the Central School and Speech and Drama, a MFA in Acting from the University of California, Davis and a BA from the University of California, Berkeley. In addition to formal training she has been mentored at the Royal National Theatre. In New York she taught at NYU Tisch School of Performing Arts, Marymount Manhattan, American Musical Dramatic Academy, NY School of Film & Television and the NY Film Academy. In the UK she has taught at The Actors Centre, Rose Bruford College, Oxford School of Drama, Drama Studio London, and the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Kara is based in London and coaches film, TV and theatre. Please see below for some recent credits.
